Elegant Ewe Class Policy
Sign-ups and payment: Students must pay in full (unless stated otherwise) in order to sign up for a class. This is on a first come, first served basis. Names will not be taken or slots held without payment. Half the cost of the class is considered non-refundable and non-transferable. If there is a serious medical emergency prior to the start of class and you can not make the session, your entire payment may be refunded as a store credit if the shop has been notified as soon as possible. If a student cancels prior to the start of the class for any other reason, allowing the shop at least 24 hours notice, the non-refundable half is lost and the remaining balance is refunded as store credit. No monies are refundable after the start of the class. Students signing up for ‘session’ classes must sign up for the entire session – we do not pro-rate.
Masking: Currently, masks are encouraged but not required in class.
Materials and homework: Materials are not included in the class fee (unless stated otherwise). Students should inquire at the time of sign-up as to what materials/homework are needed and purchases should be made prior to the first day of class so that class time can be spent on learning.
Parking: Students are welcome to park in our parking lot. If you have been to the shop lately, however, you know how busy our parking lot can be. To avoid frustration, we encourage you to park on the street for your class session if you are able. The meters take quarters or pay-by-phone and have a three hour maximum. Parking is free in front of St. John's church and the Mobil station.
Cancellation Policy: A class may be cancelled if a minimum of students has not signed up (3 students for daytime classes/4 students for evening classes). In that case, all class payments are refunded in full via check. If a class day is cancelled due to bad weather or teacher illness, it will be assumed that the class day will be made up the week following the last class of the session, same day and time, unless the instructor makes other arrangements with the students. If a class is cancelled due to bad weather, the instructor will notify the students, at the numbers they provide us, by 8AM (on the day of) for a 10AM-12PM class, by 11AM (on the day of) for a 1-3PM class and by 3pm (on the day of) for a 5-7PM class. Cancellations due to bad weather are up to the teacher’s discretion. If a student opts not to come to class due to weather or other circumstances and the class has not been cancelled by the instructor, the class is not made up and is not refundable.
As a courtesy to the instructor and the other students, please do not talk on the phone at the table during class.
