Meet our Instructors...
Debra has recently retired to the Manchester/Concord area & has been knitting for more than a decade. She is a seriously addicted yarnophile & is never not knitting. Her favorite projects usually involve lace or cables or both. In addition to knitting, she is typically walking her sweet rescue pup, "Lucy" or digging in the dirt (she doesn't go so far as to say she's a gardener). She loves dark coffee, dark chocolate, red wine, lively conversation, all things associated with gut-busting laughter.
Linda has been knitting for more than 55 years and she LOVES it. She enjoys lace work and color work and learning new techniques. Socks and sweaters are her favorite projects. When she's not knitting she enjoys traveling with her husband, especially walking in England, and spending time with her children and grandson.
Sarah has been knitting since childhood and has taught various fiber art workshops over the last 15 years. She particularly enjoys knitting cables and lace. While her background is in archaeology and environmental education, she is currently a homeschooling mom. She is also a spinner, home herbalist, gardener and nature enthusiast!
Amy has been teaching knitting at The Elegant Ewe for over 12 years; color work is what she usually has on needle but she also enjoys the challenge of lacework too. She lives in Concord with her cashmere goat, Scooter, 3 alpacas, multiple chickens, and one husband. When not knitting, Amy loves to travel with her Elegant Ewe Travel partner-in-crime, Marci Richardson, to Scotland, the Shetland Islands, the Faroe Islands and other wooly places.
Donna is retired and has been knitting for 35ish years. She loves color, hand dyed yarns, and all things fiber. Her other passions include gardening (vegetables, herbs and perennials), cooking and Pure Barre. Preserving food from the garden is her newest adventure. She married her high school sweetheart, Dean. They have two children and two grandchildren which means more knitting projects and that's a really, really good thing!
Project of Choice classes are for knitters/crocheters of all levels, including brand-new beginners! Students work on a project (or two) of their own choosing and can confidently challenge themselves with a special pattern knowing they will learn all of the skills they need to complete it. Classes are $95 per each 4-week session. Class fee does not include materials.
In a Project Specific Class, everyone in class works on the same project. These classes are designed for students to learn or improve a particular knitting skill or skills. There is usually "homework" in these classes; you will need to work on your knitting outside of class in order to stay on schedule to finish your garment or learn the next step in the technique. Classes range from 1 day workshops to 4-week sessions. Class fee often includes materials.
Class size is currently limited to 6 students. Please see schedule below for dates and times offered. You can call the shop at 603-226-0066 to sign up or you can simply click on the link associated with the class to sign up online! Wait Lists are available if a class is full. Payment is required to hold your spot- Please see our class policies below for information regarding cancellations, refunds and other important information.
