Saturday Workshop Series- Short Row Medley with Kelly

Short rows are one of the most effective ways to shape knitwear and can create incredible designs within fabric- yet many knitters are intimidated by this technique. Trust us, it's easy with a little practice and when you know what to do! Join Kelly in exploring the world of short-rows. We will try our hand at the most common types of short-rows: wrap and turn, yarn over, Japanese and German, while learning about the advantages and disadvantages of each and when a particular type is most effectively used. Students will learn to secure, turn, and resolve each type. We hope you discover a 'favorite' type and the confidence to substitute at whim!

There is no kit included with this workshop. Students should bring a small amount (about 50g/100yds) of light colored, smooth worsted weight yarn, size US#7 knitting needles (either straight or circular are fine). Students must be familiar with knitting basics but prior short row experience is not necessary!
