Saturday Workshop Series- Brioche Basics with Kelly

Learn the brks and brps of Broiche in this exciting one day workshop. Brioche knitting is achieved with a series of yarn-overs, slips and decreases. Knowledge of the way the fabric is formed will help you catch mistakes before they cause any big problems...but just in case, there are a few tricks to fixing your errors in Brioche. Kelly will guide you on your journey as you confidently execute this interesting knitted fabric.

For this class you will need to be familiar with knitting. This means knowing how to hold your yarn and needles comfortably, how to cast on, bind off, knit, purl and read a pattern.

A kit is included with your workshop registration. The kit will include a scarf pattern and two skeins of Gusto's Carmen. It is important that you pick up your kit prior to the workshop as the yarn will need to be put into a ball prior ahead of time. Kits will be available at the beginning of October. You will also need a set of US#4 knitting needles (straight or circular), one dpn sized US#4, locking stitch markers and a crochet hook approximately size F.
